    odd text in excel 2002

    in windows 7 explorer i right click an image to see the date, copy paste it to excel 2002
    then i tried to reformat the date, UH UH!
    so i thought maybe it was text so i did the multiply by 1 trick.
    still does not want to play nice!
    what do i do?
