Gray area at bottom of data

I have a gray area below my data that will not allow any new rows to be created. There are no hidden rows - I tried to 1) increase the row height, 2) unhide rows, and 3) change layout. The gray space appeared after I filtered the data, so I cannot add any rows below the last row (46) of data. Suggestions? I'm on Excel 2010 and have posted a picture of the problem. I don't know how to recreate this, so I did not attach an Excel sample.Gray.png

It looks as though you have "data" all the way down to the last row of the sheet.
Remove the filter & check what's in the column(s) you filtered below the last proper row of data.

Thank you. I scanned the entire sheet and found no data after line 46. Once I re-filtered the sheet I included "Blanks" and it displays the full sheet now.
