Sumif where 2 cells do not match

Hi all, please see my example attached.

In cell J2 I have a formula, which is not working correctly.

What I am trying to do, is get the sum where the item (H2) is found in column A, but where the Item2 is not matching what is in cell I2.

So in this instance it should be 0, as the only occurrence of item in H2 is where the Item 2 is also whats in I2.

In row 3, you can see the example working where there are multiple occurrences of item in H3

    Thanks in advance

Re: Sumif where 2 cells do not match

    Your logic is illogical.

The formula you have, based on your description above, is correctly returning 5 for these entries:

    Excel 2016 (Windows) 32 bit
    A
    B
    C
    4
    FGV071 179303 0
    5
    FGV071 C1825E 5
    Sheet: Sheet1

You are going to have to explain to me again why you think the answer should be 0.

5 is correct, its the line that returns 100 which should be 0

I2 is a number, the value in the lookup table is text.

Ok, so how do I adjust the formula to account for this?
