Excel file won't open

Hello,

I have an excel file that won't open and gives the following error message, "We can't open this workbook. It's set to show only certain named items, but they aren't in the workbook. You might want to contact the author for more information."

I have never seen this before and I am the author of the document. My other excel files are opening without a problem.

Is anybody able to help me recover this workbook (file attached)?

Any help much appreciated.

Never seen that message and don't know what it means. It opens ok on my iPad so maybe you can open it on another device.

That is interesting. Not sure what is going on here. Unfortunately, I only have this device to work with.

What is more interesting ... it doesn't open in Excel 2010 on Windows 7 or Office 365 on Windows 10.

Not sure what to make of that.

What did it open in on your iPad? I have a deadline tomorrow so trying to resolve it as soon as I can.

For info: viewed in browser, selected data (with some difficulty), copied it, pasted it into Excel on iPad, sent the workbook to my email account, downloaded it, saved it, and uploaded it to thread.

For some reason, couldn't capture last row.

Necroposting, but if the problem persists...

Riffing on observations here, I opened / converted a corrupt Excel spreadsheet in Google Docs spreadsheet application "Spreadsheets".
It opened well with all data showing.
I saved it as an xlsx back to my computer and Excel saw the data.
