    Formatting Excel Waterfall Charts

    Hi Excel Community

    Appreciate any assistance if possible.

I have attached an Excel Waterfall chart

In column B I would like the number shown as £36.9M in Cell B2 for example until Cell B7.

Similarly on the chart - horizontal axis I would like this shown as say £38.5M

I have used \£#,##0.0,,"M" in Format Cells but unfortunately all numbers are appearing as £0.0M

    Please advise

    Re: Formatting Excel Waterfall Charts

    Please try
    £#,##0.0"M"

    real value is 36.9

£#,##0.0,,"M" is for real value of 36,900,000 to display £36.9M

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    Someone suggested also using:

    [>999999] £#.0,,"M";£##0.0"M"

Did you ask this on another forum? If so, you really need to re-read our rules on cross-posting. Thanks.

No I did not post this on another forum. I do know the rules and abide by this.

If someone suggested using a formula, please respect my reply and do not jump to conclusions.

I received an email from a colleague earlier today.

    Regards

I did not jump to conclusions - I merely asked a question, which you have answered. Thanks.
