Tring to populate two columns with data from a grid

    Hello,
I'm brand new to the forum - really glad to be here and was wondering if anyone could help think of the best way to accomplish the process I'm after.
    Here is what I have

    COL A B C D

    Title1 Kubrick Welles
    Title2 Kubrick
    Title3 Name
    Title4 Name Name Name
    etc

For ease of explanation, imagine that we are talking about Films and directors. Some films have multiple directors which are in successive columns, So the first example above: the title has two directors, then one, then one, then three. The most directors possible is six.
How do I populate a new sheet with two columns (film title and Director) that has a separate line for each instance?

    So I would have

    Title1 Kubrick
    Title1 Welles
    Title2 Kubrick
    Title3 Name

I'm sure somebody has a better solution than what I came up with, which was very labored and clearly not the best way to go. Is this solved with INDEX and MATCH???

    Really appreciate any help,
    Thanks very much

    Welcome to the forum.

Just load the data into PowerQuery and Unpivot other columns with the first column selected.

    Thanks AliGW
I'm not versed in those processes yet but will start googling. Any further explanation would be appreciated.
