Sorting and Sub-Totaling

I have three columns. For example

128.35 6130 Overnight Shipping INFINITE
105.88 6130 Overnight Shipping INFINITE
52.01 6130 Overnight Shipping INFINITE
55.16 6130 Overnight Shipping Local Hospital
53.30 6130 Overnight Shipping Local Hospital
115.82 6130 Overnight Shipping Local Hospital
147.60 6130 Overnight Shipping MCHC
31.00 6130 Overnight Shipping MEDICAL Office

What I need is sort on column 2 and then column 3 and then subtotal column 1 based on the sorts of column 2 and then 3. In other words,

Baptist Location 1 has a separate sub-total from baptist location 2, etc, and infinite would be totaled together (as an example).

I do not have this in a table and I have never used pivot table so I dont know how to use that feature.

Can anyone help me?

Can you use Excel's built in "Data > Subtotal" feature? That would give the following:

Can you give me the steps please. Not sure how I sort on the two columns. Subtotal only gives me option to sort on one column.

This assumes that you are starting with columns as I show in my post #3 picture and labeled col-1, col-2, col-3

I also did this in Excel 2010 - hopefully it's not too different in your Excel 2016.

1. Select a cell in the range you want to sort (A1 in my example)
2. On ribbon: Data > Sort
3. Click on "Sort-by" and select Col-2
4. Click on "Add level"
5. Click on "Then by" and select col-3
6. Click on OK
7. On ribbon: Data > Subtotal
8. At each change in - select col-3
9. Use function - select "Sum"
10. Add subtotal to: - check Col-1
11. Click on OK

You should now have subtotals per the picture in my post #3
