    Conditional Formatting W/ Vlook up

Hello.. I am using the following look up: =VLOOKUP(A2,ESPN!$C:F,2,FALSE) to return a value from another sheet. The value it's returning is from a table that's being refreshed from the web, and could change every 60 Seconds. I am trying to use conditional formatting based on what the value is at the time, but I can't get it to work. I've read how to use CF based on a vlookup but I can't get it to work. I don't know if it's an issue the value always refreshing, or the formula I am using in the Conditional Format.

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

Ok I'll try.. I am not sure if attaching it will interrupt the the constant refreshing of the table..

I can't see where you have attempted any conditional formatting - where is it?

Sorry I didn't put it in because I wasn't sure how to do it.. I put in the first sheet an example of what I wanted.. if the column with #'s is greater than 2, format the cell red. Does that help?

Ok on Sheet 1, column B, there are #'s being refreshed from a Vlookup to Sheet 3. I was trying to conditional format Column B on sheet 1 to make the cell red if the current value is over 2.

Re: Conditional Formatting W/ Vlook up

It's because the values are text, and not numbers - that's why you need it so that Excel considers them as numbers. It won't work without it.
