Copy grouped shapes from Excel to Word in high resolution

I have tried terribly hard to copy grouped shapes from Excel to Word. But the image quality is not good, if I copy the grouped shapes as picture.

If I copy it as: Microsoft Office Graphic Object, then the quality is really good (same as you draw something in Word directly). The problem is this type allows the pasted one to be editable. But I just want to copy without it being editable. It is so tricky.

Is there a clever way to copy grouped shapes from Excel directly to Word in high resolution?

How exactly are you doing the copy/paste?
Doing a normal Copy in Excel then a 'Paste Special' in Word and choosing 'Picture' (preferably png or another good format) should give you the same resolution as the original.
But I admit I can't remember how well this worked in Excel/Word 2003, if that's what you're using.

If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.
You don't need to give me rep if I helped, but a thank-you is nice.

Re: Copy grouped shapes from Excel to Word in high resolution

Hi Aardigsppk, many thanks for your advice. I found if I copy it as picture, then the quality is bad when it is printed in paper. So essentially, it is not to be copied as picture at all. I tried other software too, you can see if it is high resolution picture, it is still blurred when printed. What I meant is, if you do some drawing in word and print, the quality is far better than that saved as picture first and print.

I can do the drawing in word directly and print in a perfect quality (you can read the text clearly). But I need to group them and other people can ungroup. I just want it to show as a single piece in word (just to make the grouping permanent).
