microsoft excel keep crashing when trigger macro even after reinstalling office

I have office 2016 but each time I run macro that need to merge multiple files in one worbook,I am getting message excel has stopped working .Tried several times same issue Reboot same issue

I uninstalled office 2016 and reinstall it but I am getting same issue

However when I send the file to another peer , the macro work flawlessly

Can anyone advise what should I do

That could be due to restrictions to your computer. Also the "not responding" message is shown also when the program is still working but is running a heavy proces that makes it impossible to update the screens the user is seeing. not responding is excel's way of telling you you are not seeing the most current information on your screen. Best thing to do is wait for the message to clear up and if it does not then not run the macro on that computer as it cannot handle it well..
