    Excel Date Highlight

    Good Morning,

I hope someone might be able to help, I am new to excel and I wanted to get this excel spreadsheet to show:
Green if the batteries are not due to be replaced.
Yellow if its due to be replaced in the next 2 months
Red if they are over due.
I have given a date on install and then 5 years for the battery to be replaced.
I would like the line to colour, but I could only get the cell.
    Can anyone help?

    Re: Excel Date Highlight

    Hi
just change your CF as follows =$E2 < today()
Then select the ENTIRE range it applies to (a2:L25, say)
    And apply Format as required
No need to create a CF for EACH cell, XL does the job for you . (The position of the cell ref is important)

Not at all, you have to create other CF rules for those other colors with the same range.
