How can I remove pop-up message on start-up about links that are not able to be updated?

    Hey, guys,

I have a workbook which links to two other workbooks.

Upon start-up, I get the message and I'm translating from Norwegian Excel now, so bear with me: "We can't update some of the connections in the workbook right now."

And then I can choose to either continue or edit the connections.

My desire is to get rid of this pop-up window as I'm perfectly aware of this.

This thread explains the issue and the proposed solution. I tried both of them, but they don't work...

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

    Hi

Have you tried turning off the "Ask to update automatic links' parameter in the Advanced General area of File Options?

    Hi, Richard,

    Thanks for posting.

Yes, I already did that. It's the 2nd solution proposed in the link I shared.

I checked just another time now that you asked and it's indeed turned off. Very strange.

It's a workbook I use on a daily basis, so it's a bit annoying. And yes, I need to keep the links. It's just that I often do some work in this workbook before opening the other which its linked to.
