    Match column to specific value

    Hi Everyone,

I have been searching and trying to use Index, Match and Vlook up to what I’m trying to achieve but no luck or probably I am approaching it the wrong way. Most of the results are with list but what I need is from Column to Column.

I have Full names of employee in one column and another column where I have their corresponding pay rates.

I have quite a large number of data but only to match the names with corresponding pay rates to this big bunch of data.

How can I achieve this if I have in Sheet 1 all the raw data and only want to show the pay rates from Sheet 2 that matches the employee names?

    Thanks in advance.

We can't propose any solutions if we don't know what columns you are using for your data, so it would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook - see the yellow banner at the top of the screen for details of how to do this.

    Hi,

Thank you I have attached the file I was trying to work to match the data.
What I was trying to achieve is to populate the columns in first sheet with names matched in the second sheet with pay rates.
    I have the columns highlighted.

    Hi Jetemec,

Thank you very much for your help. It did work but only for the first 4 rows and the rest are error. I followed exactly you said. And trying to change rows and columns but can't get where the error is coming from.

    Kind regards.
