Find how many ratings were given over 7

    Hi,

    Here is a sample dataset.

In column A I have a rating from 1 - 10 where people can rate applications from 1 to 10

    1 - Worst
    10 - Excellent

In column B to G, I have the inputs that people gave for the application

How can I find the total number of people who gave ratings to Zoom only those that over 5 or 7 ratings?

What I want to sum all of the ratings given that were 9 & 10 - Excellent as example

I tried sumif, but it didn't work.

    Thanks

    Use COUNTIF not SUMIF.

How? Countif for the ratings, but what about summing up for the actual input provided?

this for the count of over 7... =COUNTIF(B2:G10,">"&7)
and to sum the number greater than 7... =SUMIF(B2:G10,">"&7)

include row 11 if you want that included too.

No this doesnt solve my question, casue you are counting / summing all of the range.

I just want to sum those which are above 7 in column A, as that indicates how the product is perceived.

    1 - Worst
    10 - Excellent

this is the sum formula for those in col A that are above 7 =SUMIF(A2:A11,">"&7)
now, the workbook you uploaded had the numbers in col A as text so you'll have to change them to numbers.
highlight them, go to the data tab, select text to columns, it should come up as delimited selected, click finish and they'll be converted from text to numeric.

    In your sheet:

    1. column A is stored as TEXT not as a number. Select column A. Data/text to columns/Finish.

    2. The lowest score (1) is out of sequence (unimportant, but I fixed it):

    3. use:

    =SUMIF(A:A,">7",C:C)
