Conditional Formatting of a row based on cell not working

    Hi Everyone,
I have a problem with setting up conditional formatting, I want to set up different colors of red depending on how much a stock is down. I think I am doing it right, but all I get is the first column being colored, not the entire row, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Try changing I6 to $I6, that is, make the column absolute in your conditions.

Thank you so much TMS, that worked great, is it possible for you to explain why that was the key to this, to a total newbie?
    thank you again

You are referring to multiple columns. What you don't see is that the CF formula will auto-adjust for each column in the range. So, column F will refer to column I as per your formula. Column G will refer to column J, column H will refer to column K, and so on. By making the column absolute (with the dollar sign), all the formulae will still refer to column I.
