Allow data entry on a cell that has a formula without changing the formula

Hello All,

I am new here and a basic excel user who needs help protecting cells with a formula, that allows data entry.

What I am trying to create is a spreadsheet that will allow me to enter values on a cell (with an existing formula), while retaining the formula if I delete the entry.

I hope I am communicating this clearly.

Please help.

What you are asking is impossible without VBA ... am to understand that you did not want a VBA solution?
