Running count + reset @20 and continue count

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to get a running count to work. I need it to reset at 20 and then continue to count up from wherever the count left off (once the 20 is taken away).

PLEASE NOTE: I have included numbers that I want to show in those fields IF the formula works.

For example, in the attached image, the count is actually at 21 in the 'Current Total (M column)' though I want it to show a 1 (like the mock/dummy number I have placed in there), because that formula would have subtracted the 20 points once the total between Columns C-L hits 20. The value in the M Column should reset and continue the count from where it left off once the 20 is subtracted every time the count hits an interval of 20 (i.e.: at 20, 40, 60, 80, 100).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

Perfect! ♥ Thank you so much!

My next (last) question might be trickier (maybe not). I would like the value in the 'Reward Earned (N column)' to change to 'Y' (Yes) when the chart resets the count once it passes 20. I would also like the value to return to 'N' (No) if a new value is added in to the chart once it has also reset. The way my numbers work is that the chart could not possibly reset back to back as the maximum value to be input will only ever be 8 and it resets at 20.

Not sure your new request is possible, as Excel has no way of knowing when values were added.
