Multi select dropdown lists in excel ONLINE

Just as the title says. is this possible?

I had a quick look at office scripts but I believe these need to be triggered (cannot run on change/ on edit as VBA or google appscripts can)

I think it just cannot be done but if anyone has a solution I would be very grateful.

Did you try to select multiple options in a drop-down list by using the multiple properties. It might allow you to select more than one option while pressing CTRL key ???

No, that won't work. the solution I have in VBA works fine but obviously doesn't convert to online

tbh I am not sure it is possible but if there is a solution it would be great to know
