    Talking Post code calculator

    Hi

we send parcels nationwide and i am trying to get a spreadsheet set up which will automatically calculate the costings.

Ideally, i want anyone to be able to type in the post code and weight of an item, and it will calculate the cost.

i have attached an example spreadsheet.

    any help would be great

Which version of Excel are you using? Please update your profile.

In what format will post codes appear? You don't seem to have mocked anything up to show how you want this to work.

    Re: Post code calculator

I think you need to explain a bit more
    1) how are you entering the postcode, is it a full postcode or just the letter prefix?
    2) do the values in e3:m3 need adding and if yes what is the trigger for this? Do they match with the postcode areas?
    3) if you wish to add the values in column B it would be much simpler if they were just the value as a number
