Complete rookie. Would appreciate the advice.

    Afternoon All,

I am relatively new to Excel and I am building an excel worksheet.

The issue I am having is that when I delete the information on the left side, as it's place holder information it then causes the information on the right to disappear even when I re-enter data on the left. This will be an issue as when I input the actual information it'll mean I will have empty space for future entries which will also break the formula.

I am using a RANK.AVG for the left side. For the two smaller boxes I am using SORT & FILTER with RANK.AVG to show top 5 and bottom 5 out of 100.

Ideally what I'd like is to input what data I have into the left and have empty spaces for future entries without it messing up the formula. What I'd also like is that when we get the maximum amount of entries that the oldest entry auto deletes (either after a certain time lapsed or when we've reached a max number of entries on the left side).

I am really enjoying learning about Excel but I get really frustrated when I can't work it out myself. Hopefully someone can help

    Many Thanks,

    HW

It would be better if you upload the worksheet(s).....this could help answer some questions. Like is the info on the right a formula linked to info on right(hence if you move/delete the info on left, the formulas would be broken)? A picture may be worth 1000 words, but without the actual file it leaves a lot of guessing.
