    Holiday Calendar

    Hi,

I apologise for potentially not putting the thread in the correct place but i wouldn't know the correct place to put it (or if it's been asked before)

I've made a Holiday Calendar to calculate how much holidays employee's use each month. I've already calculated it.
The thing i'm having a problem with is you can only accrue 2.3 holidays per month, so i'm hoping for a way that when i try to input more than the allowed holidays it colours the said box in red.

I know it can be conditonal formatted but that means going to every single box and then handwriting it in.
Is there anyway at all, VBA, Macro, CF, formula...anything.

I'm basically looking for when it's under the allowed amount the box stays normal (or even turns green, i'm easy), but when it goes over it turns red.
The caveat is that because the holidays accrue, Februarys allowance would include any unused in January.
I'm hoping this makes sense. It's attached anyway.
Any help you can provide would be great.

    Thanks,
    Dan.

    Re: Holiday Calendar

Explain how someone has 2.3 days per month: how do you define 0.3 days?
If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.

    Hi,
It’s just total amount accrued (28) divided by months in a year. Which equates to 2.3, that’s just how we get to that figure

    Hope that clears it up?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Re: Holiday Calendar

Can you add some sample data manually to the grid and manually colour it as you would expect to see it? It will be easier for us if you do. Attach the new copy of the workbook to a new post.
