need formula to that will auto populate text in cell depending what other cell text

can anyone help me out here - i need some cells to auto populate depending on what other cell says. basically if the hired status says
Hired - employee starts
then the other cells will auto populate text to match example

Use this:
=IF($F2="Hired - employee starts","Yes","")

replacing the bit in red with the desired response.

Any reason why you still use the obsolete .xls file type when you are currently using Excel 2010??
