Help with auto populating a scorecard

Hi all. I hope someone can assist.

I am working on a scorecard (attached)

The data tab is where the result for each month is added, and the scorecard tab will show the latest monthly result for each measure.
The DoT column (direction of travel) displays an appropriate up/down/no change arrow depending on how performance compared to the previous month.

Is it possible to automate the population of the scorecard tab, and also the direction of travel arrow? Even better would be to be able to have a drop down on the scorecard page to allow a user to select the month they want and that would pull the corresponding numbers from the data page.

There are other tabs in the sheet which I have removed that have charts for each measure -but they are straight forward.

Is this too complicated nad maybe easier to tell them just to populate the scorecard manually?

    Thank for reading.

    Charlie.

Are you still using Excel 2016, or have you upgraded? If so, to what?

Re: Help with auto populating a scorecard

It would help (me at least) if the data in "scorecard" reflected data in the "Data" sheet so we (i) can determine which cells are required.
If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.

Re: Help with auto populating a scorecard

Hi John - Thanks for the reply, and apologies for not making it clear - I can see what you mean.

I've made some changes to the file- I've linked the relevant cells for December from the data sheet to the scorecard.

the data is all made up for now - (bar December)and I'll clear it all before handing it over to someone else to complete.

If you could somehow assist I'd be very grateful - I'd ideally like a dropdown menu in the scorecard page to choose the month which would cause the relevant info to be displayed.

Thanks for any assistance/advice you can provide.

    Charlie.

    In C1

    Data Validation

    Allow:

    =list

    Source:

    =Data!$B$1:$N$1

    in C2

    =INDEX(Data!$B$1:$N$46,6,MATCH($C$1,Data!$B$1:$N$1,0))

Copy down and change 6 to appropriate row
