    Help with Auto Populating Tables

    Hi all,

I wonder if you will be able to help me, I have to create a workbook with one main table that houses some data from worksheets that we will fill out. So basically its sale orders and everytime we create a new order I would like the main information table in the worksheet to update automatically. Whats the best way to do that?

Do you have one sheet for every order, or are they arranged for each sales person (or by month) ??

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook, and you can do this by following the instructions in the yellow banner at the top of the screen.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

Hi Pete not a problem and yes thats right we have one sheet for every order. I have attached a sample sheet with no customer data so dont worry about GDPR and I have put an instructions tab in there to try and portray what I need.

Ideally we do need some data so can you enter an order of each type with results required in INDEX.

How does the system work? Are Orders entered in the "Templates" and then copied to a Customer Order sheet?
If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.

    Hi John,

No problem I will sort it withe some data. Basically what happens you copy a template in a new worksheet. And the yellow boxes in the index sheet I want automatically fill out the template.
