Sheet tabs visible but locked and cannot view without password

    Hi all

I have a spreadsheets with many sheets that not everybody needs access to but I'd like them to be aware that they exist (data isn't super-sensitive, just not relevant to everyone).

I'd all the sheet tabs to be visible (not hidden/very hidden) but to view/access certain sheets a password would need to be entered.

I'd prefer a one workbook solution rather than multiple workbooks, but if I hide the sheets they'll be forgotten about and won't be filled in as necessary.

Is this possible and, if so, how do I do it.

    Thanks

You can password protect each sheet and set the level of interaction with the sheet as you apply the password.

Have you right clicked on a given sheet tab and clicked 'Protect Workbook'...

Check the boxes that fit your needs and be done with it...

    Hi there,

See if the attached workbook gets you moving in the right direction.

It uses the following code in the "ThisWorkbook" VBA CodeModule:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
The highlighted values may be altered to suit your requirements.

The appropriate worksheets are "protected" by displaying only their 50 rightmost columns and bottommost rows. Entering the correct password causes the entire worksheet to be displayed.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on.

    Regards,
