Is it possible to duplicate data from one table to tab without macro

    Hi,

Im new to this forum and really hope someone can point me in the direction for a solution if my need is possible or not.

On tab A I enter phone calls as they are recieved. I register Date, time and reason for call (a list of valid values).
One of the reasons for the call can be "Sickness", and on tab B I want to keep track of sickness cases. When the sick period is over I enter a End Date for that sick period on tab B.
So tab A is just for logging and tab B is for logging and "closing" sick cases.

Now I was wondering if it's possible to sort of copy a sick case from tab A over to tab B as soon as I enter it on tab A without using a macro ?
Second best scenario would be that I on tab B could chose from a data validation list that would show all records with Sickness from tab A (and not existing on tab B) and once choosen a record from tab A all other columns on tab B is filled out automatically.

Macros is not an option in my organisation.
Unfortunately I can't have the column "End date" for a sick period on tab A cuz that tab is just for logging calls.
And the process can't be complicated using advanced filtering.

Anyone knows if this is possible to achieve?

This seems like the kind of scenario that the new FILTER() function was designed for: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...c-4877ad80c759
