In the browser version of Excel 365 you can use the keyboard shortcut ctrl + shift + v to paste the values-only, not the formatting. However, for no obvious reason, this doesn't work in the desktop app. It is a lot slower to have to use the paste special menu so I'm keen to re-create this shortcut, does anyone know how to do this?

CTRL+ALT+V then V then ENTER.

Also, if you have not already done so, you may not be aware that you can thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon (* Add Reputation) located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of all those who offered help.
This shortcoming of Excel in the desktop version is quite easily made up for by installing a small add-in.
After downloading the file from the site, select Properties from the pop-up menu in the system file manager and unlock the file. Only after this action can you install the add-in in Excel.
The disadvantage of the add-in is that you can't undo recent actions, because like almost every macro it clears the undo stack.
