I do not see why Match and Index functions are needed when we have the new Xlookup? Do you have an example where we need Match and Index and xlookup can not help with that. Thank you so much.

Specifically, XLOOKUP is available in Excel 2016 and newer versions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...9-88eae8bf5929
If you don't need your formulae to work on anything older than this, you don't necessarily need INDEX MATCH.

And, given you have 365, you could maybe use FILTER instead of either option.
