Combining rows for a single entry in one problem column

I have a somewhat messy data set in which one column was converted into multiple lines per record. Does anyone know of a good way to combine these into a single cell for each record? The number of lines is variable for each record and looks something like this:

    Entry 1 This
    Is
    Separated
    Entry 2 This
    Has
    Four
    Lines
Entry 3 This one only has one

However, what I need is this:

    Entry 1 This is separated
Entry 2 This has four lines
Entry 3 This one only has one

There are thousands of entries in the file, so manually handling it is out of the question.
    Thanks!
