I have the following bug and don?t know why.
This formula worked for many years in this sheet, but now it does not work at all.
=TEXT(C1,"TTT")
When I use this formula I just get TTT as answer.
Please help.

There is probably an Excel language issue here, too. What did it do formerly?
Please attach a sheet showing what it DOES do, and what you EXPECT to see. (See yellow banner, top of screen for attachment instructions).

Is your forum profile showing the Excel version that you need this request to work with?
The best solutions often rely on knowing WHICH version of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File/Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.
The three most recent versions of Excel are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the Version number in your profile (e.g. MS365 (PC) Version 2211). The version number is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.
Cheers,
Glenn.
This is what I get. It always worked fine, but now it does not any more.

This might sound silly... but a dim memory somewhere stirs. Try:
=TEXT(C1,"ttt")
It ist not working with "ttt". It just began when I first grouped the cells and later on ungrouped it. Before the cells were grouped it gave the right value that was the name of the day. And after ungrouping it just showed TTT.
Look: Attachment 804721
Again a silly q.
Are you entering:
=TEXT(C1,"TTT")
or
=TEXT(C1;"TTT")
Is the locale of your PC still set to Austria?
I enter =TEXT(C1,"TTT") - with ","
My setting in language is:
Attachment 804722
This is what you mean with "local of PC"?
Im out for some exercise.
Just try
=TEXT(C1,"ddd")
Oh my god. It worked with "ddd".
So I assume, that by some reason I don´t know, EXCEL is running in Englisch. But in the general options I habe German as prefered language. So I just have to try to set my excel file to german again. Is there an easy and fast way to do that?
THANKS A LOT !!!
Your locale must be set to English. Normally mainland Europe uses ; we use ,
It's starting to rain, and Im a few km from home. Ill show you where locale settings are when I get back.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I tried to fix this on my own and spent MANY hours without success. The idea of trying "ddd" never came into my mind becaus I don´t remember that I ever changed the language actively.
THANKS A LOT and get home safe!
