To count a variable depending on other date variable

I would like to count the total number of YES corresponding to a particular date. For example I need to get the total number of YES for the day 27.10.2022. How to get it?

Try
=COUNTIFS(A:A,$A$2,C:C,"Yes")

I expect the problem may be with the date vs text in column A.
