Hi, I created a pivot table and it looks okay. But I accidentally dropped my keyboard and it has typed in some symbols in one of the rows.. I tried to refresh but it did not return to its original state.

Sorry, if it can help here is my excel file.
BOOKEEPING.xlsx
Just delete it and build it again.
Thanks. Is this an excel bug?
No... if you had used CTRL-Z to undo, you might have recovered it without rebuilding.
I have closed the file and I only discovered this after reopening the file. It it is not a bug maybe its a limitation of the pivot table feature. Thanks for the replies.
Hey joy,
It looks like you are pulling data from a linked only table that has some sfddf in the Account Name column. You are also using DAX for a function that seems to work. I agree with Glenn above that you are pulling data from a memory location that isn't current.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

It is still a mystery. All it takes is an accidental typing. Before the accidental typing all data shows correctly. Maybe someone can try this and confirm. Make a pivot table. Then type something in the ROW data (example: some random character). and try to refresh..
