How can I convert a word into a number?

    Hi everyone!
I would like to know how to convert a word in into a number. For example: I assign the number 1 to the letter "A", the number 5 to the letter "B", the number 2 to the letter "C", and so on... so that if I write "ABC", I get in turn the sum of the three number (ABC = 1 + 5+ 2 = 8).
Thank you in advance for the answers!

    Or:

    =sum(lookup(mid(b4,sequence(len(b4)),1),h1:h4,i1:i4))
