    Clearing Conditional Formatting

When clearing conditional formatting, which of the following 2 methods is the preferred one? Or are they the same in all situations?

    1) Under Conditional Formatting, select Clear Rules
    or
2)Within Editing under Home, select Clear > Clear Formats

    Thanks for your help!

    Re: Clearing Conditional Formatting

If you have other formatting in the cell(s), the second option would clear them too which may be considered unintended consequences. If you ONLY want to clear CF, use the first option.

I have tried to Add Reputation to you but it says "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to TMS again."

So this forum monitors and sees to it that the reputation is given out fairly?

By the way, I wanted to private message you, but it says: TMS has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.

    Yep, that's correct.

Thanks for trying to +rep me. You gave me rep at the back end of December so you'd need to give rep to someone else before you can give it to me again. Worry not.

As for the mail box, yeah that's a pain, but I don’t really want PMs, so leaving it full means questions and riders stay in the public domain.

    Re: Clearing Conditional Formatting

Thanks for clarifying! I wanted to PM you because I wasn't sure if this mini conversation between us 2 would be considered "spamming" the public domain. But it looks like I haven't been kicked out from the forum, so it should be fine. I will +rep you when I have a chance to (that means someone else got to reply me the next time, haha!)
