Internet searches have got me through a long time of excel/VBA questions as I try to self-teach myself but this one is different. Seems like some type of glitch perhaps?
I have a worksheet I'm trying to build. Has a table with rows of jobs and columns of different types of data for those jobs. I added freeze panes so that you could still see the top row (table headers) when scrolling down the list of jobs and still see the first three columns (job names and numbers) when scrolling across to the end of the data columns. Some time adding freeze panes, whenever I enter data in any cell in column 3 (C, "Project Name") the text repeats itself to proverbial infinity. So if I type the word big in a cell in column 3 and then select a different cell, the text in the column 3 cell becomes "bigbigbigbigbig...."(to "infinity") yet the formula bar reads just "big". Why is that? How can I stop that from happening?
Other relevant info: Originally I had a bunch of VBA in the worksheet. I figured there has to be some loop somehow having to do with the code. I tried everything I could find on the internet and think of VBA-wise to rectify the situation. It didn't help that the text property and value property of the active cell did not repeat as was the case on the screen. Then I copied the entire worksheet into a new workbook (attached) that has absolutely no code and am still experiencing the same behavior from it. That tells me that the behavior should have nothing to do with the code, correct?
Also, most of the data I added in the cells when I was fooling around is nonsensical random typing to quickly insert something into the cell (in case your wondering).
