    Pivot Table - Filters

When I group my data and put it into the pivot looks fine but once I start using filters it is showing me filtering options for months that are not even in the data. when I click on "Row Labels" filter beside it months showing doesnt correspond to the data. See the attached.

Sample file probably going to be required on this one so we can see the data and what might be happening. If I recall, that's a common thing that happens when date grouping. I've seen it before myself in my work, I think I would always just filter them out - can't recall of the top of my head. Someone else smatrter than me is going to know the answer haha =D

I thought those dates only showed if you picked a start and end date when you group? Try grouping and not having those two checkboxes checked and see what happens. What about if you turn off data caching and then select to not show fields that contain no data. I think that should work?

Ah, I see what you mean now, confused to why that is happening. Going to think about it for a bit.

I really do not understand why Excel does this sometimes. I know that if you check use data model it will fix this, but that may or may not introduce other issues.
