Goodday!
CONTEXT: Everyday I distribute "Colours" among a set amount of people. I've turned to Excel to make this an automatic process, to which I've gotten stuck on this one part; whenever I distribute the colours (per person) in a table, I have to translate this to a list. I stick to distributing the colours in the table for ease of use / oversight / making sure everyone gets a variaty of colours, and would very much like to keep it this way. However, every colour has a unique number (Ex: there can be a total of 3 "reds" with the numbers 1, 7 and 9), which (on top of the aforementioned struggle of converting a table to a list) has been a bonus pain to think about.
I have been cracking my brain on how to convert the contents from a table to a list in Excel, where the input in the table is predetermined and manually put in, but the list is automatically filled in according to the table. On top of this, the list is shown in a (also predetermined) order of colours (linked by number), which the output of said "translation from table to list" has to match.
Every colour has been distributed to a specific person in the table, which also have to be distributed in the list. On top of this (as well), there is a specific color that 1 specific person has to share (with a set amount of people that can be shared with).
I have included a representative Excel-document in the Attachments, if there are any questions about it please let me know!
Any clues, formulas, functions at all in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!
For anyone who is giving this a shot, thank you in advance!
Kindest regards,
Zialon
