    Question ActiveX Frames Hiding ActiveX Check Boxes

    I'm starting to make use of ActiveX check boxes on my worksheet. I was expecting to be able to group my check boxes and place them in an ActiveX frame to have something look like this;

    Problem is, it only looks like that when I'm in design mode. The second I leave design mode the check boxes are placed behind the frame. It doesn't matter if I send the frame to the back or bring the check boxes to the front.

    Am I doing something wrong or do I have the wrong expectations for frame controls and I should be doing this a different way? Thanks!

    Right click on the Frame object
    In the menu hover on "Frame object"
    Click Edit
    This will bring up a toolbox of ActiveX controls
    Select Checkbox
    Draw the checkbox in the frame

    This is really dumb but that's how it works.

    Re: ActiveX Frames Hiding ActiveX Check Boxes

    Ah, so if I understand it (and word it) correctly, the ActiveX check box is a child to the frame control in this use-case(?).

    And if my understanding of traditional form controls is right, I can create multiple check boxes in the worksheet, arrange them how ever I like, and draw a form frame around them, because form frames do not have child's(?).

    Is my understanding correct?

    That is true of checkboxes, but important for option buttons. If you create a Forms frame, then add Forms option buttons to it, those option buttons will be in a group. If you click on one of them the others will be turned off.

    Understood. Again thank you for your help.

    Edit, just noticed I accidentally posted this in the Outlook Formatting section and not Excel. Not sure if admin can move this, but please do if possible. 
