What do you want to achieve?
O I understand what you mean.
You want a formula that returns the column reference as a string.
This formula works until zz (for 702 columns)

Your formula will not work for the OP as they are using 2010.
Yes I know, that because the OP was adding 96 to the column number so I did the same.@Fluff your formula in post #4 returns CS in column A
The OP add 96 in the CHAR function, because he wants 'a' in column A and so on.
@Fluff you are right, the formula of post #5 works only in Excel 365 and I also need a SUBSTITUTE.
