How to prevent "Threaded comment" from bogging up my comments on PC?

I have this issue where if I add comments from my Android 13 phone, the comments on the excel spreadsheet on PC are full of useless text for some reason.
See the video for issue what I'm talking about.
I haven't been able to find a solution on google or reddit.

There is a difference between Comments and notes, newer xl versions use notes for what used to be called comments in older xl versions.
Is there an option for notes?

On both my phone and on my PC, the menu item is called "Comments". So I have no obvious way of knowing what's what and what the heck is going on.
