How to Count Occurrences of 0.5 When Multiplied by a Multiplier

Hello - I am looking for a formula for the following:

I need to count the quantity of 0.5 visits to a property at certain depths of snow when I estimate there will be 3.5 visits to the property per snow event and there will be 3 events at that depth of snow.
I have tried Truncating the cells with half visits and subtracting hat number from the original and then multiplying the result by the frequency multiplier, but am not getting right answer.

i.e. At 6.1"-8" of snowfall, we estimate we will visit the property 4.5 times. We estimate there will be 2 storms at this depth for the season. I want a formula to tell me it is 8 total whole visits and 2 total 1/2 visits.

    Thanks!

    Steve

I am not sure that I follow.
In your example 6.1"-8" you are calculating 4*2 and 2*0.5?
What you need is to separate whole number and 0.5?
For example, 3.5 to be 3*3 and 3*0.5?

    I don't understand.
Would you be so kind as to add some expected results (including explanations) to the workbook?

So, for given 3.5*3 wouldn't be enough to do 3.5*3 - 0.5*3 to get the whole number?
