    Time To Change

When I type " 7 AM ", it converts it into 7:00:00. How to disable that.

Thank you, I appreciate the bandaid, that is a good Plan B. My goal is to change a setting so that this never happens again. How do I make all cells not convert a number into time, thank you.

Format your cells as Text ?
( and BTW, setting your location to " Desert" does not help much as some features are location dependent - approximate locations ( USA - Europe) are sufficient)

You don't sound confident in your answer.

You are entering a time. 7:00:00 is the underlying representation for the time "7 AM". Why do you not want it to be entered into the cell as time?

If it is not actually time but you want to treat it as text, then this is the correct answer
