When I type " 7 AM ", it converts it into 7:00:00. How to disable that.

Select the cell or desired range
Right click -> Format cells -> time
choose desired format...

Thank you, I appreciate the bandaid, that is a good Plan B. My goal is to change a setting so that this never happens again. How do I make all cells not convert a number into time, thank you.
Format your cells as Text ?
( and BTW, setting your location to " Desert" does not help much as some features are location dependent - approximate locations ( USA - Europe) are sufficient)

You are entering a time. 7:00:00 is the underlying representation for the time "7 AM". Why do you not want it to be entered into the cell as time?Originally Posted by DesertDweller9
