Hi
I have a of of nested IF statements in my XLS and wanted to make them more readable be using line breaks, in windows ALT-ENTER.
I often find it easier to edit complex formulas in Notepad before pasting them into Excel, however ALT-ENTER does not appear to be recognised in Notepad.
Is there a workaround please, or can you suggest another utility similar to Notepad that does support line breaks?

Notepad DOES support it, but you must switch Word Wrap to ON under View.

Reading your post again: in Notepad, just use ENTER - when you copy into Excel, the formula will appear in the formula bar correctly. Make sure you place the cursor into the formula bar before pasting, though!
