    Conditional format 1 lowest negative and 1 highest positive number from the list?

    Hello, I have a list of numbers in cells. I am looking for a solution how to conditionally format only 1 lowest negative and 1 highest positive number from the list? Please see expected result in attached file. Thank you for any advice.

    Yes but in case all numbers are negative, I want Excel to show only 1 formatted color - the lowest (the same in case all are positive - highest)

    OK - that wasn't clear!

    Try these rules:

    Red:

    =AND(COUNTIF($B$7:$F$7,"<0")>=1,B7=MIN($B$7:$F$7))

    Green:

    =AND(COUNTIF($B$7:$F$7,">=0")>=1,B7=MIN($B$7:$F$7))

    Thank you Ali for your effort :-).
    Now it works for row 7, but when I apply that conditional formatting to rows with another numbers, it does not give wished result. I tried to play with "$" in the formula, but I did not succeed. Can you please advice?

    Thank you!

    Remove the row anchors:

    Red:

    =AND(COUNTIF($B7:$F7,"<0")>=1,B7=MIN($B7:$F7))

    Green:

    =AND(COUNTIF($B7:$F7,">=0")>=1,B7=MIN($B7:$F7))

    Glad to have helped.
