Conditionally formatting - Need to skip blank rows in conditions

    Hello Excel Geniuses,

In the attached excel sheet, I need a conditional format with fill that has the following logic

If the column in a cell is greater than or less than by 2 from the previous cell - conditionally format
If there is blank in a previous cell, look for the nearest cell and check the difference to apply the conditional format

In the example, 5,2,6 should be format, 1 in row 16 should be format based on row 12 value of 9.

    Thank you

    Piku

I don't exactly understand what you mean by: "If the column in a cell is greater than or less than by 2 from the previous cell",
but this formula formats a cell when it differs by more than 2 from the previous cell (blank cells excluded)

Please try this CF-rule applies to $A$2:$A$30:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
