Hello
I can successfully combine files in a folder where the data layout and sheet names are the same but each file had a header of 8 rows. Is there a way to ignore the first 8 rows of each file?

Just remove the first 8 rows when setting up the sample query used for each file.

When you import the data, instead of loading, hit the Transform button, then in the intersection drop-down (tble icon to left in the window), choose Remove Top Rows ... and type 8 into the box. Now you can load your table.

Thank you for the reply I woudl have never noticed that dropdown.
I must still be doing something wrong because I followed the steps - 8 rows removed but the table is then blank. I've attached two files I've been testing on. They do have differnet sheet names.

Even with worksheet names the same I get this.
Post the query workbook too, please.
Attached are the files with same worksheet names and the Query.
You need a similar setup tpo your other question. Then alter the Transform Sample File query to remove the top 8 rows.
Great. Thank you so much.
