    Excel forcing input to formula?

Hi there. Not good at Excel, and tried to Google some solution for this. Probably some gurus here will see the errror at once.
I use Excel at work for copying partorders into excel and the sending it for shipping. Some very few partnumbers tends to automaticly change when i copy it to Excel.
Also, if i type it in manually, it will change.. The numbers i type in and the output is as follow:

    364570E070 - Turns to = 3,65E+75
    364780E050 - Turns to = 3,65E+55

How can i make excel just accept the input as i type it in?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

Try adding an apostrophe to the start of the text string:

    '364570E070

Or format the cells you copy to or type into as text in advance.

    Good Day!

First, Select the cells where you will paste the data and right click then select FORMAT CELLS. Under the number tab, select "Text".

Then copy your data and paste in the above formatted cells then you can see the value not changed and remains the same.

    Hope this helps.
    Best,
    SaM.

    Hi!
Thanks everyone for all the answers

I found that, while all answers work in their own way, the solution from Fluff13 was the one i ended up using. This because i could just do it once and not have to worry about it anymore..

    Thanks again!
