    Column Sum

    If I have a column with either yes or no in each cell is there a way to sum the total of yes's? =sum(?????

    In what way?
    It maybe that you have misspelt countifs
    You originally said you had a column, but that formula is looking at a row.

    your right it is a row, sorry. It gave me something like "name?" when I entered it.

    That's because you have misspelt COUNTIFS you have an extra s in there.
