Lookup text in a cell and return text

Hi I have a column that has certain cities within larger text - so a string of a city name I am trying to find and return that city in a new cell.
So if A1 Contains Avon, return Avon OR if A1 Contains Rochester, return Rochester, OR if A1 Contains Buffalo, return Buffalo... etc.
I am failing on these formulas - help!
