    Count two variables from a table, including a monthly drop down

    Hi Gurus

    Stuck on this complicated formula (well for me at least)!
    Looking to find a formula(s) for the attached section in orange (I've manually added answers)

    C4 needs to count how many C3 (East) and B4 (Trains) found in database (I2:L10), for the month selected in B3
    (preferably without using an array formula)

    "East " in C3 has " " after. Delete then below formula should work.
    C4, drag down and accross
